Infotainment System Issue

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Yesterday when I turned on my car, I noticed the infotainment system screen was blank. On pressing the power button, it wouldn't turn on. What is strange is that if I receive a phonecall or go into reverse, it will power on temporarily to cater for these things, and then immediately turn off again.

I've tried holding the power button for a reset, but no result from this.

Any ideas what could be causing this selective power off?

It seems you are not alone.

Thanks @Daveo138. Will try the "whack" method, and maybe an update while on the phone, and will report back.

Sadly neither option has changed anything. Someone else has suggested replacing the screen as it’s a cheap item, so I will try that!

Have you tried replacing the glovebox fuse? I had an intermittent issue with my previous Octavia's scree, it would randomly turn it's self off & on. Taking the fuse out, replacing it. Seemed to reset it for a few months, before the issue would intermittently start up again.
