Driving me mad!

I play music with N7 player through my android auto. About 75% of the time when I stop the car, the music plays until I open my door, and then a few seconds later I notice that its playing on my phone speaker.

I've never had this issue before, and nobody else seems have any idea what's causing it.
Any suggestions? Its really annoying!

I find Spotify does this on my 2016 MIB2 using wireless CarPlay dongle from time to time.

Only thing I have found is press pause before it disconnects. Not sure if it’s an iPhone issue or MIB issue but it seems to be intermittent as to when it does it.

Slightly happier to hear its not just me!

Although sadly I've tried the pressing pause thing, no joy I'm afraid.
