Hi, just recently bought this lovely 2010 Octavia 1.4 TSi (CAXA) . Really happy with it, can anyone recommend what oil filter it needs? I’ve read that it needs a particular type.

I’m going to give it an oil and oil filter service, so any recommendations on oil or even a cheap service kit would be really appreciated !

Personally Id just go to the dealer and get a genuine one. In Aus they are about $35....which isn't too bad for something made in Europe and you know isn't cheap Chinese junk.

Or, local auto parts store and get the recommended Ryco or Mann filter. They will have a book with all the applications
