2013 Yeti TDi L&K Boot Floor height with/without spare wheel?

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Yeti with the spare wheel under the boot floor. I understand this raises the boot floor. I am looking to get rid of the wheel and have a lower boot floor, releasing more space? Hopefully?!..Does anybody know if a kit is available of what parts are required, or even if it is possible to retro fit? With 2 children every inch of extra space would be appreciated!

If your spare wheel is a Steel wheel, the saving of space is so little, as I would suppose you would have a compressor, jack & wheel brace instead.....

Plus, you get the benefit & assurance of having a Spare if you ever get a puncture. ☺️

We went from one Yeti to another and I reckon it's about a 15 cms height loss. Is it worth stripping the polystyrene blocks out either side of the wheel well and then visualise it you could get a plywood board cut to fit under the boot carpet? Maybe put a sheet of high density foam below it? I think it's a case of how you support the floor above the wheel well. Good luck !
