RNS510 Columbus "pulsing"

Featured Replies

Hello

Does anyone have any knowledge of how to remedy issues with the RNS510 Columbus stereo cutting out, and a pulsing kind of heartbeat sound being emitted from the speakers?

Do I need to install software?

If so, how do I know which type and what version I will need, and where do I get it?

Thanks in advance.

Rather HW issue, usually Power PIC to be resoldered.

Thanks pab567.

Is it possible to "isolate" the unit to prevent this from happening until I can get it sorted or replaced please?

Thinking of that, would it be better to repair or replace?

What would the relative cost be do you think?

Is it possible to upgrade to another / better OEM unit without needing to recode or anything - just plug and play?

Where is the power pic located on the unit?

@Spudskoda unfortunately it's not possible to "isolate" this issue.
