Went out last night, came up to a junction & could see I could pull straight out, so didn't change down just pulled out & floored all 50HP, the engine spun up & the clutch slipped, no worries I thought it just needs a clutch. Bit can I find one? Can I buggery, not even the suppliers in Czech Rep seem to have them, anybody with any ideas, the QH part appears to be QKT243AF but I'll take any make.

The adjuster is all the way in, but there is still no play so is it properly foobared?

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. That went well and it came to my place this last weekend. Early 2012, 1.2 TSI, 5sp manual, 158k miles on the clock. This is it, just after being washed. Hey guys, Sadly it's looking like my Octavia days which have been pretty brilliant could be at an end, unless I can find a replacement engine. Looking like a blown head gasket/cracked/warped head so it's not driveable now and boiling away (95C+ even without the thermostat in). It's also had a burning engine oil issue for years. It's a 110 ASV engine. So my options are: Say goodbye to my brilliant Octavia ☹️ Try and find a replacement engine, throw it in and hope. Downsides are obviously the

Has anyone fitted a no shroud water pump to the tdi engine? If so, what was the part number of the pump you used? How did you go about stopping fault codes / engine lights and what did you do with the redundant electrical connector?

Ok, Matrix Leds are fantastic. When driving on A or B class roads they working perfect, illuminates both sides of the road and cuts out cars at the front or oncoming traffic. I've never been flashed. When I tried to use them on motorway it's a different story. Right headlamp is illuminating as expected but left one doesn't illuminate side of the road but only gives a lot of light far at the front of the car..
