2nd year service coming up, what should I look out for? Not driven it much

Featured Replies

coming up to my 2nd year service - what should I look out for? Mrs doesn't drive it much done around 5500miles - 1.5 Petrol Sportline

what should this cost me?

What engine has it? It should be much the same as the 1st Service but with a Pollen Filter extra. Oil & Inspection Service. Unless you are having the Brake Fluid Changed, or the AC serviced. But a dealership might try ripping you off. But the spark plugs are not getting changed or the air filter.

1.5 Petrol Sportline - that's what i'm thinking, seeing as it's only done 5500 miles - it doesn't need the major service right?

so just had the 2nd year service, cost me £269.30 for the Oil & Inspection Service - I then got an email afterwards saying I should have had the brake fluid changed for an additional £116 - taking the p!ss?? should I just get this done locally (Kwik fit etc?)

Kwik fit / Halfords tyre centres! What is the worst that can happen.??? Lots. Then there is the health check you might get, and we are back to advising discs or pads.

what do you advise then? I think £270 is steep for a Oil & Inspection Service - then another £116 for Brake Fluid Change?
