Curiosity got the better of me on a drive back from Somerset yesterday and I decided to leave the gearbox in ‘sport’ mode which isn’t something I’d really used much before.

Low and behold the car goes and returns my best fuel consumption figures to date and I wasn’t exactly driving like Miss Daisy either 👀

Probably should’ve said on the post and now it won’t let me edit it but it’s a 1.5 DSG (25 MY)

That's the way to do it then. Was 'Coasting' enabled and your toe off the accelerator quite a lot once the cars was nicely rolling along?

Does Coasting work in sport mode??

No idea it is your car. Does the gear you are in show on your car? Cylinder Deactivation works when no load on the engine.
