Afternoon and hope all well , looking to treat ourselves to new vrs octavia, looking at the spec on new skodas available some have 2026my and sone 2027my ... any one know if there is much difference, thanks

The main differences are the implementations of GSR2.0 Phase 3 (enforced as of July 2026). I think the requirement that impacts the end-user the most is the implementation of Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW) (camera-based, sensor located in the rear-view mirror), which can be annoying to some. It is the same system implemented already in the latest-gen Superb and Kodiak.

The answer I received from the Skoda Infoline regarding a similar question: "All Octavia vehicles produced from calendar week 14/2026 onwards are compliant with GSR2 Phase C"
