Not sure but I sprayed my octavia ones black as they were worse than yours. Didnt look that bad or noticeable.

Infotainment system switches itself on

petersu · 20 May, 20242 yr

Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter

1.5 TSI E-tec (MHEV) 12V battery issues

sarkyscouser · 9 October, 20242 yr

Anyone else here with a 1.5 TSI MHEV/E-tec struggling with their 12V battery? I bought mine new in September (74 plate), and with only 200 miles on the clock, on Monday, it would not start 48 hours after an 80 mile round trip at the weekend (yellow battery symbol on dashboard). Skoda assist came out and tested the battery to be normal with a battery tester, but could not test the battery via a laptop/ODB as the test wouldn't run. After getting the car running for 2 hours whilst he

Electric chair presets not working

The chair still moves backwards and forwards, up and down - but the three preset buttons no longer do anything. Wouldn't it be more usual for the whole thing to stop working?

Axle stand location

I know others had this problem, but can't find a definitive solution. If I jack up the rear of the car using the reinforced sill-weld, I then have nowhere to put an axle stand. I'm reluctant to pick a suspension member, not being confident it won't get damaged. I noticed just in from the jack points there is an oval plastic cover that comes off and reveals two circulare rubber bungs a few cm apart. I have seen elsewhere someone jacking a Tiguan on this zone using a block of wood as a spreader, s

Advice on new (to me) 25-plate Scala SE 116 TSI

andrewww · 9 August9 Aug

Hi, Note: my previous car was a 59-plate Hyundai i30, so all of this is very new to me. Had my Scala for nearly two weeks now. Happy with it, but have noticed a few gremlins/niggles that I'm not sure about. I have done mostly short urban trips, but recently did an 80 mile motorway drive. Things I have questions about: The Stop/Start system keeps restarting at random before I depress the clutch or touch anything. Research suggests this is probably because of a low state of charge in the batter
