1.8t 100k+

Featured Replies

are they still worth going for if they have such a high milage? or would it be downhill from there on?..maybe i should elaborate...

just interested knowing if the octavia 1.8 t would still be worth owning with high miles on the clock. i mean if they go past the 100k mark more money to maintain?

thought you wanted to save money??

Leon... In all seriousness, just go for something like a 1.6 Felicia... you know it makes sense. Hell, even a Fun or something for £3k... :)

im only asking!!!! not buying...:P

If you can't run a 2.0 little fabia how would run a turbo charged big octy?

If they are properly maintained then a 1.8t with 100k on the clock should have lots of life left in it!

Get an insurance quote and stop dreaming.

I don't mean to be harsh but insurance is terrible at our ages.

If it wasn't for insurance I'd be driving a Lotus Elise.

Hadn't seen your age. To give you an idea, I'm 22 with 2yrs NCB and car stored on my drive in a low crime zone and more than one insurance company laughed at me when insuring my octavia RS.

Im 22 with 3 years NCB in S35 parked on the drive and im paying £900 with Churchill so far from cheap

i did think about the insurance too:eek: shocking with 3* points its really high at the moment anyway! i was just curiouse:)

you got points  when was this?

sorry 3 points!! i had a sp30 exeeding a stated speedlimit!:(

Leon, look in the Octavia section - there is a VERY recent thread started by me on this very subject.

Do a search ;)

Why do you need a car anyway?? You wont use it at all to get around Cov. Halls will be very close by and in the rest of your years there you'll be renting a student house near there too.

Few others will have a car.

I agree with Goochie. And if you MUST have a car, get a cheap bangor.

Its only cos we care Leon. xxx

Also, you'll have no time to use it and when you do have time you'll be well over the legal limit.

If you MUST have a car, buy a 1.1 Fiesta like everyone else.

Get a scooter.I'd love one of the new ones on offer like these

Get a quiet one though.Noisy ones are annoying!

I know of a nice, hardly used Aprillia scooter thats for sale

scooter!!!! not keen on bikes. i dunno what i want to do at the mo transport wise but i'd rather keep a car.

Leon, if you have a car you'll use it once or twice a week at most. If you use it more that that it'll be because you have it - not because you need to.

You dont want to be paying to run/tax/insure/MOT a car when you're away at uni. Its just not sensible.

If you nee dto get somewehre, some rich kid will have a car and be happy to give you a lift.

If you MUST have a car' date=' buy a 1.1 Fiesta like everyone else.[/quote']

Euughhh, if that was a choice I had to make, I'd dust off the pushbike :D

Im now wondering reading this am I the youngest occy RS owner?

Im now on my second and im only 20yrs old. I bought my first one when i was 19 and a half which was also a RS.

20yr old, 4Points insured in my own name 1 crash 3ncb= a grand total of
