Fabia Noise archive?

Featured Replies

Trying to convince a friend of the virtues of vRS ownership. He's interested in what they sound like with an aftermarket exhaust fitted. Do the owners of such cars have any sound clips of what the available systems sound like?

If the clips aren't already online somewhere, I'm happy to host the files, and maybe create a reference for people. May prove useful?

Cheers,

Steve

Tell him to wind down the window next time he's alongside a bus or lorry ;)

Doesnt do it justice though.

Dave - cheers. Thought you might have had something to contribute :D

Thought you had a few sound clips as well, must be wrong. I vaguely recall someone posting a Miltek clip ages ago, but can't remember who...

Im pretty sure they did too, there was a comparison thread some months ago.

OK - that's confirmed I've not imagined it then! Will have another look round...

Agreed, recordings of the BF dont sound half as good.

I also have a few clips of my Blueflame equipped Fabia vRS but as others have already said, they just don't do it justice.

I asked someone to drive my car past me the other day and boy does it sound good.

I've been meaning to get one done of mine (Milltek) but never got round to it. :o

I'll try and get one done some point soon

Eyup...think that woz me.

The difference in sound with the Milltek doesn't make it sound like a serious petrol race car or anything, but it isn't supposed to. It just sounds like a more serious diesel. The exhaust note has a more sporty pitch to it, but it no means loud (like Milltek say - performance to blow your mind not your ears!).

The actual nice bit about the new noise post-Milltek is the turbo spool up is quicker and sooner, so you get a pleasent whistle noise with the slightest push of the throttle when gently cruising along.

A link to the video I uploaded is here:

Compares the before / after sound. As someone has said before (although they might have been joking) - the 'after' clip with the sound turned up does sound like a truck as apposed to a car, but its not like that in the flesh, its just a slightly more pleasing sound.
