random flashing lights

Featured Replies

my vrs went back to skoda today becuase of a faulty cd player and windscreen change, andyway im driving home after picking it up and the light above the headlight icon on between fuel and oil guage (havent got my manuels to check) started flashing on and off really quickly i couldnt make out what it was, also ASR flashed when i set off a bit too quick and it wheel spun a bit, i know its traction control but its never flashed before, it was turned off at the time, anny ideas what it could be?

the ASR light would be on permenently if you'd turned the system off... when it flashes as you pull off like that it's just the ASR operating to reduce torque and reduce wheelspin :)

According to my manual, the light above the headlights between the temp and fuel gauge is the warning indicator for the "Interlocking of the backrests of the rear seats".

Basically - the rear seats might not be fixed back properly so as your going along this would be coming on and off????? Not sure if this would be the case, as it usually stays on for the first 20 secs after igntion turned on if the seats aren't in position. I would check the seats are pushed right back.

As Sharkrider said, the ASR is ON all the time, unless you push the button and then the ASR indicator will light up all the time to let you know its been disabled.

If the ASR is turned on, it will not show on the dashboard unless you pull away quick and activate the traction control.
