Featured Replies

to cut a very long story short. ive had to have a new fabia vrs rear bumper fitted. in fact ive just had it done for the 2nd time. the first job was so bad it had to go to a different skoda dealer than the first & it took 2 new bumpers to get job done as the first one went so wrong it had to be scraped. but this one is still not spot on, it dont fit right .plus ive been without my car for more than 3 weeks just to have a rear bumper fitted. what the h3ll is going on. has anyone else had a fabia vrs rear bumper fitted .if so where was it done & is the job ok as i need this sortining. any advice welcome. plz help.:(

The only issues i've had with bumpers is warpage (if thats a word???) after they have been sprayed and baked in a commercial booth/oven. They tend to twist and then dont fit right.

I have spoken before about these to my mate at the local Skoda Bodyshop. They hate doing them, apparently it is really hard to get the skin onto the inner bumper.

mine was done before i got hte car. but had to be re done (just the same bumper) as it was rubbing on the rear light cluster. apparently a problem witht the brackets. new brackets then it was fine. it has since been off again to be resprayed as the first one started flaking and no problems as yet. (touch wood)
