i have a question. is it possible to reset the service thingy even if it's not showing on the dash. for example if i am supposed to get my oil changed every 10k but decide to do it at 5k can i reset it early so that it dosn't come on at the original specified mileage??

Yes, you can. It's also possible to set different standard distances.

Easiest would be to use the new service reset functionality...
