VRS caliper green

Featured Replies

I don,t know if any one else has had a problem with flaking paint on their vrs brake calipers but when i asked at my local skoda dealer for some green touch up paint they said that skoda dont do any and the only answer was to buy a new caliper. This i found a little annoying, how hard can it be be to produce the skoda racing green, anyway i searched every where for the paint or even one that looked like it but to no avail that was until monday when i was in a model shop getting some small paint tins when i spotted a tin of green which looked remarkably like the caliper green, so i purchased it i thought that 15 years working in a paint shop my eye for colour cant be that bad. After getting home i went out to compare and low and behold it is virtualy spot on and today i rubbed down my calipers and applied the paint they look like new. If anyone is interested the tin number is 61 and it is made by REVELL most model shops or good toy shops should sell these small tins of paint, oh and obviously it will have a green lid, hope this has been of help.:D

The common colour used by other members is Hammerite Smooth Green, an almost identical match too.

The actual colour of the calipers is Minz Green.

Soon it will be "Hammerite Smooth Red".......:(

Also checkout Foliatec green caliper paint, different shade but IMO looks great, and very hard wearing.
