Bought 2 new Zero Nero's.....

Featured Replies

They were fitted to on the back wheels and Gy F1's on the front..... Although I knew I would change this round, Nero

I had vastly over-inflated tyres at delivery - they are pumped up for the transporter, apparently and the PDI inspection didn't pick up on them being the wrong pressures. Car felt very odd - sort of 'on tip-toes' feeling.

I now use 35F/33R

Also bear in mind that the tyres are coated in release agent to get them out of the mold. They tend to be very slidey for the first 100 or so miles. I also think that they pump them up off of the car, so when its got the weight of the car on them as well, this causes the pressure increase. Whether thats right or not I don't know, but I've never seen a tyre place check the pressure once the wheels are back on the car.

They have to pump them up to 40psi+ to seat the bead and seal it, they obviously didn't bother the drop the pressure once they've fitted them...

P Zeros don't have rim protectors IIRC.

Definitely would stick them on the front and keep the GYs on the back, as the P Zeros apparently don't have the collapsing sidewall problem (as much).

My fronts are due for a renewal again in another 10k I reckon LOL

my all time record tyre pressure on a car which i was servicing is 96psi  should have been 30psi , i dont no how it hadn't burst off the rim :D

I've just bought two p nero's , gone on the front, I put a thread in 'general car chat' and I'm gonna do a review when I've run 'em in ;) 2.5 bar in mine (think that's 34...)

Hi

As you just bought a pair' date=' what are the rim protectors like on the P Zeros?

Chris[/quote']

Don't seem that bad, no different to the Michelin Pilots that were on when I first got the car. Not as good as the GY F1's though :( Nice looking tyre that even now feels more ridgid when cornering.

I guess if your careful curbing shouldn't be to much of a problem :) I'm hoping the gain in performance makes it all worth it all :D

 I'm surprised they didn't look like tyres from a cartoon car.... all balloon like :D touch them with a pin and they would explode :D

i forgot to say that all the other tyres were also over inflated to iirc 50 psi so it must of handled like it was driving on ice
