Paint Code: Graphite Grey ?

Featured Replies

Can any of you knowledgable folks give me the paint code for the Skoda Graphite Grey Met.

My Dad just bought a new Octavia PD130 Elegance Estate in this colour and it's the best i've seen for a while.

I am having some wheels on the golf painted this colour and i need the code to give the bodyshop a match.

Can't the bodyshop get the code from the VIN plate ??

Ready for this? My touch-up can (I can't find the code anywhere on the car or in the docs) says:

Well, I soured the web last nite and found sod-all in the English speaking portion........hence i scanned the Skoda Czech site, and found the colour.

BUT

Their reference, I believe is U9U9, Graphite Metallic.

Will have a shot at the local dealer to see if they can shed light.......or i could just ask my old pops - but I think it'd be easier to ask the dealer, thus avoiding "...what do you want that for.." question !!! LOL!!

A call to my local Skoda dealer in Rugby gives this answer:

"The Graphite Grey Metallic is available on Octavias, Fabias but not the Superb.

It's a new-ish colour of about 6 months.

The code is U9U9."

Well, unless we're in the hands of a total pillock, I guess we can take his word for it.

I'll check with my old codger later.......just to be sure.

It seems you've got a pillock, as that neither the colour nor the paint code are on the skoda uk website. I'd speak to the organ grinder not the monkey as the graphite grey was on the pre facelift <00 Octavias and was never offered on the Fabia.

If you like you can use paint code 6D6D, but I'll leave a certain 4x4 estate owner to tell you what it is!!!

Aaaaaagh!!

My old codger said his '53 Octavia was unusual and even the salesman at the time said it was a limited colour, and only for the Octavia.

I know it's not on the Skoda site - coz I have already looked, but TBH I took that with a pinch of salt.

Well, from the 'fatherland' (VW speak) website in the czech repub, the code is U9U9 too - altho i have to admit to translating / interpolating the colour a little.....but it looked like graphite too.

A quick call to the old phart tonite then, me thinks........

Oh, and the comment was supposed to be about Dynamic Blue, I guess!!?? LOL!

If it was a limited colour, that that almost explains it (even though ncarring's was a different code)

as your old mans is a 53 plate i'd be more inclined to go with the U9U9 although make sure you're 100% (like order the touch up paint for your dad) that way you will see.

However did you guess about that gorgeous shade of Aqua? :smurf:

Well dumbo here re-read the post and finally learnt to tell graphite from granite. Sorry! :dunce:

Spoke to the old codger and he confirms that it's:

Graphite Grey Metallic

U9U9

Thanks a bunch to you all, and if you like the grey colour but want something sophisticated, have a look at this shade - it's truly lovely.

Very blue/black/grey - not at all dull....

mine is stone grey

I LOVE it :)

My Fabia elegance was stone grey, It took a while to get used to it as i had wanted black, with the black interior, but the stone grey was built sooner. it was a shame to see it go but i did not have any luck with that car. I'd have it again though
