boot light

Featured Replies

are these things supposed to have a boot light and if so where is it supposed to go as for some strange reason mine hasnt got one anywhere:confused:

My estate has one.... on both sides inline with the rear light clusters. In the estate the lights seem flicker now and then not sure what the cause of that is though.

And I thought the flickering lights was just me! I seem to recall once that the boot was open for so long that they actually switched themselves off, although I haven't managed to repeat that one.

I have never seen mine turn off after a long period of time - ie. boot open for several hours. The flicker seems to be quite consitant - every 30 seconds or so. It has been a while since I have opened by boot in the dark though!

I have one on the hatch. The flicker i think i worked it out.

The light flickers as the internal lights on/off thing at stopping ignition cuts off.

Eg my light flicks off very momentarily.

Maybe I flattened the battery...which I have done twice..once so properly that the AA needed their booster box and the van with the engine switched on plugged into my battery to restart the car.

Tip: Never leave one of those electric coolboxes plugged in for 11 hours;)

We did that in the horse lorry one day. The person who installed the sockets in the living area messed up the wiring to the leisure circuit, and we ended up draining the main battery, rather than the aux one!

I think in the hatch it's to the back left as you are looking in, but i'll have to take a look when i go out to the car leaving work this eve.
