Cleaning Silver Seat Trim on Octy vRS

Featured Replies

How do you people clean your silver seating and door trims on mk1 Octy vRS.

It was raining yesterday and i was in a rush to get to my car so i ran over the grass as a short cut ignoring the path. Sat in my car to notice mud on the door trim and the seat.

Must have flicked up on my grassy shortcut. Mud now over the seat and door trim.

Left it to dry, wiped it off with baby wipes, but now the silver is a light muddy brown silver.

Don't really want to scrub it, cause the material will fray.

What can i do, please help.

dilluted vanish or oxi powder with a sponge seems to work a treat in mine:)

As Kit said seems to work best

Personally think they should have been all leather, because they get dirty so easy and are very hard to keep clean

Save some money up and go for a full leather retrim, or even better an S3 interior

I've been wondering what to use on mine too. Will give that a go. :) Cheers

I think my family and friends are sick of me stressing over my seats, they are scared to come near my car these days incase they get them dirty.

well, i used soda crystals on a recommendation, something like a £1 from tesco, and they made the seats alot worse, stains all over it, but it was poss the way i did it?

I ended up taking the car to a valet to get done in the end, much better now :)

I use Autoglym superfoam (blue tin)spray on rub off with a good terry towel, comes up a treat,Let it dry before you sit on seat :o caught out before. Its also good for your carpets

ive given up at the moment got soda crystals but to scared to try em used auto glym it just spread it around
