Window Tinting

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever tinted the rear windows of a black Furby vRS??

If so, does anyone have any photos??

SWMBO is thinking of doing so when she picks up her car next week, would like to see what it'll look like first!!

I think your best to get this done professionally. They look really nice I think but beware that ANY tinting to the front windows breaks the law. The factory tinting on the Fabia VRS allows 75% light transmission (trust me, I have used the equipment at work) Be warned.

We'll definitely be getting it done professionally!!

She wants the back doors and rear window done, won't be touching the fronts!!

Just wondering what it looks like on a black vRS?!?!?!?

Your car will fail the light test by a mile. One of my mates in the North was driven home by a traffic Officer and was ordered to remove the film or face prosecution.

To be honest, it didn't look as dark as yours. You've been lucky up to now.

Looks nice though. :)

Edit - Just seen your not in this Country, lucky.

Its a bit of a lottery around here Jon. I see many drivers without seatbelts (Usually young drivers) almost black tints (All windows) foglights on and illegal number plates. The police seem to turn a blind eye. I think they're afraid of racial harrassment!!

On my VRS, I have tinting all windows

Yes but looking at registration you are not in UK where law is a lot more strict.

Looks good tho

They look good with black tints, Milhouse08 is based in France.

I think it all depends as to what police force area you drive in, as i have seen a hell of a lot of all round tinted vehicles in and around s.yorkshire, maybe there just lucky but i think some forces are a little more lenient than others.

I've had my tints(all round moonraker - the lighter type) now just over a month and passed quite a few traffic/ squad cars and not had one hint of trouble

In the day they look fairly light, but at night its a different story :)

as i said before - get blinds like this

Fabia with limo tint on the back windows. You just can NOT see through them. :D Fine from the inside though and I don't find having them affects checking blind spots or reversing. :)

Doesnt look like a vRS either ;)

In france you can tinting your car glass if it's not too dark ... for exempl, I can't tinting my front glasses with the same tint of the rear.

If the police arrest me, I should pay an infringment about 80€ that's make 53 pounds... and I must take out the tinting on the front.

But I have see a lots of time police and they never say anything :) (once, I have stop near a policeman and I asked him for my way ... he have see my glasses and nothing :p )

Perhaps they think that it's not to dark ...

Doesnt look like a vRS either ;)
