New door trim!

Featured Replies

Just dropped my 2005 Fabia vRS in for it's 2nd service today and been leant an 2006 Fabia 1.2 Classic and was surprised to find it's got full black cloth trim up to the window glass!! No more shiney plastic! I wonder if anyone will retrofit this trim to their Fabia?

This Classic base model isn't basic at all. It has elec windows, remote locking, air con, trip comp and single CD player!

Given the large difference in weight, power and tyre/suspension I was quite surprised that it's handling in normal driving didn't feel much different to the vRS!

It feels pretty slow and under powered but then this is an entry level car. Reminds me why some cars plod up hills with the lorries!

You meen all the way to the top???

The Fabia is gradually being up specced as it reaches the end of its run. I have been informed that the Classic will continue to be made for at least 12 months afte the new Fabia comes along. It willl have trhe same spec as the Elegance but be badged Fabia 1 Classic. All other mK1 Fabia's will cease production on 18th December 2006

Sounds a bit like a Sport, alot of the early ones did come through with classic badges on them, should have been taken off.

Interesting

Could be a bargain too, it's still a great car even near the end of its life.

I'm pretty sure it was a 55bhp 1.2, it had very little power. I hope that's not the "Sport" model  :P

Yes, the fabric on the top of the door now matches that of the middle section. It looks better but this car had only done 900 miles and already the fabric had water marks!

Did it have a 3 spoke steering wheel like the vRS? If so it was the Sport.

And did you happen to notice whether it had an HTP badge on the back? If the P was red it was 64BHP 12v, if it was not red it was the 54BHP 6v.

I think it wasprobably a 64hp Classic with a plus pack, most dealers have one from Skoda UK at the moment.

It had a 4 spoke steering wheel with sharp edges that felt nasty. I didn't see any red on the HTP badge.

The car had so little power I had to drop it into 3rd (45mph) to get up a hill, and that was with a run-up! The engine was smooth and sweet tho, but then I'm used to a clattery buzzy diesel
