annoying vRS

Featured Replies

got the fab a couple of month ago, so far its been back to skoda 5 times! from handbrake cover coming off to passenger side speaker not working to radio been faulty. anyway it went in other day because the rattle in the speaker was pee-ing me off they tell me do you know the bass is on full? so is not allowed to be on full? why make it like that? DUH! anyway i havent driven it in a while and went down a long stretch near my house late at night. took it up to 70mph and was breaking and took ages to stop, got home and realised the accel pedal cover came off and lodged under the brake! madness!

That's not too clever!! Actually flipping dangerous, I think the pedal covers just clip on.

I had loads of hassle with mine (little niggly things and it was forever in the dealers) in the first few months but it seems OK (touch wood) now and I love it! Stick with it matey, it's worth it.

Yeah, I agree with the above. Be patient. I know that the 'little' things annoy us most but I think you've been a little unlucky here. :)

The exact thing happened to me  The accelerater pedal cover jammed under the brake pedal and brake pedal wouldn't depress, very dagerous :thumbdwn: I've left it off for about a month now but will be looking to get it back on with a bit of adhesive some time :D I also had an annoying rattle coming from the glovebox direction, I finally traced it and fixed it with a little tape. Be patient and stick at it. It'll be worth it

I'm also getting a rattle from the glovebox or somewhere in that direction. What did you do to fix it?

Turn the stereo up. Way up ! :)

Had the pedal problem as well. Glued the accelerator cover back on with Araldite Rapid, been OK for a year now. Why these things are fitted in such a stupid, dangerous way is beyond belief.
