Standard headunit buttons

Featured Replies

Hey, ive been reading this forum for a while now... meaning to post, but finding that most of my questions have already been answered! Today thou i have one... I have an 04 fabia vRS, and im having issues with the headunit... the buttons keep falling off! (i.i. the 1-6 buttons). Im getting quite unhappy with this, and my local skoda garage tells me that this isnt covered by the warrenty... Has anyone else had this problem? and is the garage correct with it not being a warrenty issue?

cheers for your help in advance, Rich

try a different dealer, this should be covered under warranty imo.

An odd thing to happen. IMO they should only fall off if they've been previously removed and/or the retaining bits have broken.

They are top-hinged, so you're supposed to push the bottom end of the switch, not the top. That might be part of the problem.

You may be able to "improve" them by using selotape or similar to bulk out one end of each switch and remove any play. Though if the clips are broken, this won't help.

J.
