Vodafone Live.... it aint!

Featured Replies

For the last few days I have been trying to access Vodafone live. I have never bothered before but thought I would use it to download a ring tone I wanted. Whenever I have tried to access it I have got the message, no response try again. Is this something you need to be given access to by the network provider or should it be there from the beginning without the need to get it 'switched on'?

dunno m8 :(

Vodaphone forum?

Don't even talk to me about Vodafone. I have just reported them to OTELO for their underhand dirty tricks.

I'm having a great day today, DHL, DiLusso Kitchens and Vodafone are all getting some!

How long have you been with Vodafone?? Do you have an extra's pack??

I only ever have been with vodafone. I'm afraid I don't know what an extras pack is though

It won't affect you if you don't have an extra's pack.

Extra's packs are the inclusive text and MMS packs, something like £5, £10, £15 and £25

Pixi,

If you tell me which phone you're using and how you are trying to access it I should be able to help you. It could just be a configuration problem but all phones should be ready to access Vodafone Live when they leave the shop and since I use it every day I think it works very well.

Send me a private message if you prefer.

Call Voda on 191, I think its needs to be switched on, but to browse their pages is free.

I thought you could activate it from your My Vodafone part of the website? Pretty sure mine is active although I never use it lol :D All my ring tones come from t'interweb via P2P ;)

The phone is a Nokia 6230i. I did see something on the Vodafone site that gave me an option of a service (one was ticked already, prob picture messaging). it didn't say which so I didn't opt for it.

Hmm thats handy I was just consider vodaphone or o2 for a new contract and phone. The N80 vs N73 vs E70 debate is holding me up.

What problems are you having then Stu?

Have a Google for N80 reviews, reliability is a little poor

Do you have GPRS enabled?

If not you won't be able to access it as you need the WAP gateway set up.

What's Vodafone Live?

Orange user here, But to get your phone configured.

Call Vodafone and ask them to send the sim updates for that phone to your handset and make sure the services are active on your account.

My girlfriend bought a vodafone phone, put an orange sim card in it called orange and they sent all the sim updates, now all its SMS, MMS, GPRS, ETC are set to orange.

Its the same thing.

It's to do with them devaluing the extra's packs to which we are already committed to. Not an issue if you aren't already a customer.

Ok thanks stu, what are they like for signal and service otherwise?

Pretty much like the rest to be honest.

Think I'll be going back to Orange soon if Vodafone don't sort me out.

I have just spoken to Vodafone and they advised me to relog my phone back onto the network if you like, because apparentely all phones do this periodically and if mine hasn't done it for a while it will make it lag behind. I did this and it hasn't made any difference. Maybe it's just bad timing I'm getting the 'system busy, try again' message, who knows?
