Cruise Control Kaput!!

Featured Replies

Have 18month old 2.0TDi and travelled on motorway today - cruise control fine.

Parked car returned to it 4 hours later, started return journey and cruise now non-functioning.

Anyone with similar problems??

No problems here, but there may be a man that can help you out. Where are you based?.

seems to be a fairly common problem, that is recognised by Skoda. My CC works some days and not others - problem is with the contol stalk and I am waiting to have mine replaced under warranty when it goes for it's 1st service soon - done nearly 18k and the service indicator has just lit up.

Spookily this problem seems to adapt to my driving circumsatances ! don't do many motorway miles and the CC never seem to work when I do - natuarally when I test it on a B road the next day all is well!!!!

It is a known problem with the earlier cars. Requires a replacement stalk.

It seems to reset sometimes when you stop and restart the car.

I had this problem in my old 4 x 4 problem was a failed/tempramental brake light switch ...

Yeah, I had to have my stalk replaced a couple of months ago, had it done the same time as my flywheel was replaced!

Mine was temperamental for a while now its stopped working altogether. It's not even a year old with 7k on the clock. As already said it's a common problem.

It must be a fairly well-known and standard problem becuase all the west midlands dealers have been telling me for MONTHS, that it's on back order.

Anyway, one call to Skoda Customer Service and, as if by magic, my local dealer then gets one in stock. So you know what you've got to do to get the part.
