ok ive had my fab bout 2 month and sont roughly 2k miles, havent put any oil in since ive got it, anyway ive just done a 60mile trip on the motorway at motorway speeds and i opened oil cap and a puff of smoke then constant low amounts kept puffing out. any ideas? or am i being paranoid:rolleyes:

Sounds normal. All my cars have done this:) As long as the eangine isn't using excessive oil (diesels often use a fair bit over the first few thousand), you should be totally fine. Chill:thumbup: and enjoy :cool:

Nothing to worry about, it's perfectly normal (or at least, it's done it on every car that I've done the same with). I think it's just air warmed by the engine which escapes in a bit of a puff. I guess it kinda steams a little once the cap is off? As long as it's sortof wispy & not belching out clouds of smoke it should be fine.

I would not have opened the oil filler cap on a hot engine though:eek:

i know some spat out and hit me under the eye, was like getting a facial off my car LOL
