Fog Light Bulb

Featured Replies

Okay can i confirm that the fog light bulbs is the H3 variety for the Fabia vRS?

Just stocking my mild mods before the car arrives :toad:

check www.powerbulbs.com and search by car for the right bulb type :thumbup:

H3 sounds right but dont quote me :D

I did that but as you say 'don't quote me' I did want to check in here.

I though it odd that the side light and fog light where the same size - probably just me though.

IIRC it is the main beam and fog light that are the same not side & fog?

Main beam is H3 - Phillips Vision Plus on mine

Fog light bulbs are H3 - Osram All Seasons Super are excellent in fog.

I found the fogs very difficult to change as most of it has to be done by feel.

I'm good at fumbling in the dark so I should be fine! :)

Many thanks all

Okay then I've ordered the following for an very clear and orange free front end.

Foglights = H3 pair

Mainbean = H3 pair

Indicator = PY21W (with offset pins) x 2 pairs

Looking on eBay I see side lights which are W5W - are side lights the ones on the first notch when turning the light switch clockwise?

What are the H7 bulbs on offer for the Fabia for?

If I buy an HID kit which bulbs will they replace?

Which bulbs are used for 'full beam'?

H7 is for dipped beam (ie normal headlights) and H3 are for main beam. I replaced mine with some Osram Silverstars and Philips Rallye bulbs, respectively, from powerbulbs and got some free sidelights thrown in :D

Depending on which HID kit you get, you'll replace either the dipped beam, or both the dipped and main. :D

Has anybody bought/fitted a dual bulb kit or do you require 2?

Looking at the cost I'm guessing people got for uprated H3 bulbs and HID kits for day to day normal use on the H7s?
