I know this is kind of a stupid request, but....

Hey all :)

I've been reading these forums for a while now, but haven't really had the urge to post anything, that's changed now though as I've just got myself a nice widescreen HDTV that I use for my monitor for my PC, only problem is the picture of a Fabia WRC that I was using now appears stretched and distorted :(

What I was wondering was if anyone had a picture (Useable as a background) of a Fabia WRC OR a Furby vRS? Either one will do me fine :D

Also, I should be posting alot more soon as I'm trading in my old 1.4 Silverline for a vRS in the coming months  Can't wait lol

Thanks in advance for any help people :)

The reason the image is stretched is probably because the resolution of your new screen is higher than before and your image is being 'stretched' to fit the new screen.

I'd suggest resizing the image to the width or height of the new screen resolution bearing in mind you may want to crop or recreate the actual canvas size of the image so it doesn't distort. Alternatively set the wallpaper to be centred on your new screen rather than stretched to fit.

Thanks for the reply :)

I knew it was because of the resolution of the image as to why it's strecthed, unfortunately i don't have any image apps other than windows image viewer, so resizing them image isn't an option :( I've also looked on google image but to no avail, just thought someone onhere might've had a custom image they have taken themselves? or doctored themselves one of the two :)

So far I guess i'll have to get used to a WRC estate

If you send the original image to me and tell me the resolution of your display I'd be happy to resize it for you and even provide you with a number of images to choose from.

here you go, I have same setup myself so did this ages ago using m$ picture manager. it's at the native res for my screen. 1366 * 768 although my desktop is only 1360 * 768 :)

10899.attach

Ok, so what resolution does it need to be at? The picture is currently 1360x768 so what is your screen resolution?

I don't know what size to convert it to.

unfortunately i don't have any image apps other than windows image viewer, so resizing them image isn't an option

Have you not got the bog-standard MS Paint program that comes with Windows? You can use that (Image, Stretch/Skew) to edit the size of pics.

Hello people, thanks for the replies :)

Chris that size image is perfect, and it's a nice picture of a vRS to boot :D

O Rinji, if I send you some pictures could you resize them for me? Sorry for the late post but I've been really busy at work lately :(

Yes. Send the photographs to me (via PM if you prefer) and I can resize them for you. I will need to know what size you want them at i.e what screen resolution you will be using them as your wall paper e.g 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1400x1050, 1600x1200 etc.

Only one of the three pictures were available (the other links didn't work). When you enlarge a smaller picture its quality will reduce. I have enclosed two versions of the resized image (both at 1360x768).

The first keeps the original image (and size) but enlarges the canvas size to the new resolution. The second enlarges just the height and as a result leaves black bars on the left or right. If I had enlarged the width to 1360 the height would be more than 768 and would then be missed off the screen.

Let me know if you like them.
