I have just bought a 53plate Octavia VRS Estate. Very pleased with it.

It has ESP on it and I didn't think that was an option. It is definatley ESP, the button says ESP - 2nd from the left and I have tested it out on purpose. I can feel it braking the various wheels and correcting the line.

Am I wrong or is it unusual to have ESP on a Mark1 Octavia VRS.

I feel so much happier with ESP, especially as my wife drives the car with our two children and winter is around the corner. That's why i rushed 160 miles to buy the car (that and many other reasons).

Have never had to rely on it, but I'm glad it's there :thumbup:

ESP was a £450 option on the vRS.

It was free on my 2nd hand Focus 2.0 Zetec 'ESP'.

It was much, much better than the 'ASR' on my Octavia.

they are completely different systems though :confused:

the haldex system on my octavia works way better than ASR ever will too
