Just pricing up cambelt change and had a quote of £170 labour and I supply the parts. THat is for cambelt, tensioner and water pump on a TDI.

JKM beat the local place on price so assuming I can get the day off work it sounds good

I'm approaching cambelt time at a rate of knots and am not going to pay the dealer £500 discounted price for a belt change plus £300 for the 60k ish variable service.

Still looking at a new car, but want to be able to get belt changed if i havn't decided on a car by then.

I used to use Grantleys on the West Ham Ind Est in Basingstoke. This was a while ago, for my GTI, will be looking into going back with the Octy.
