Just got myself a fabia 1,9 tdi estate or combi as it called here. Got it instead of a 3 door ford focus 1,6. In my opinion are the focus a better car. It drives better and looks better. I also noticed the seats in the fabia are much harder and less comfortable. But all in all, do I believe that I will be happy for the fabia. The focus had among other things a new gearbox after 70000 miles. I expect the fabia to be bullet proof. The engine is very powerfull though rather noisy around town. It should also be rather more economical to drive. Finally there are the big boot. This car was bought with my head not my heart. Finally will I tell you how much I paid in Denmark. Its from November 2004, the faceliftet version, has 55k km on the clock and I paid about 15k pound. It was about 19k from new.

I am swapping from a Ford Focus to an Octavia. Found Fords to be very flimsey with the pedal box needing replacing just after warranty expired and now the engine rattles like a asthmatic 80 year old with bronchitis !
