0' or 5' number plates

Featured Replies

With the change in number plate formats five years ago I have to say that I always prefer the visual look of a 0' plate car than a 5'. Does anybody else think about this? The only exception is with the "55" plate which can look smart with specific letters before it.

I suppose it will all be different when we change to 1' and 6' in another five years.

SK 0? ??? or VR 5? ???

Agreed, this was part of the reason I happily bought an 06-plate at the start of august rather than wait 4 weeks for a 56-plate

I've had 2 vRS's and both have had SK0 plates, I was able to spell SKODA and my initials with them so suited the bill, but I agree the 0 plates are a lot better.

For some reason i'm in the 5' group always prefer the non '0 cars. Weird!!

My last 3 cars have been '02, '04 and 06 purely by coincedence but I do like the look of the '0 plates as they appear less cluttered.

I gotta get a 55 plate someday

I do prefer the look of the '0' plates, but you often get the facelifted/updated version on the '5' plate... my dad recently got his new astra, that was delayed for some reason which meant it was a 56 reg - has an updated engine with vvt and +25hp

Careful posting full plates - there's cloners about :shh:

RO55 TEC

RO55 TEK

could use them ross?!

I prefer the '0's :D

Who cares what it looks like? Its not as if you can see it while driving

Mine is etched on my windows :D

I would agree with the opening post that either a 0' plate or a 55 looks best.

Though I'd also agree that it is not enormously important!

Another vote for the "0" here.

I'm a zero too...always thought I was nothing!!!
