Hi All...

Featured Replies

Hi all, thought I would introduce myself...

Im Alex from west mids I have been into Skodas for many years, typically the rear engined ones and have owned a Rapid 135 coupe in the past. At present I have a Sierra XR4x4 2.9 which I am looking to part with shortly.

I cant afford a modern performance Skoda so im looking into buying and then modifying a Felicia SLXi hopefully in silver or black. The main modification I will be planning is an engine transplant as the normal 1.6 is a little slow for me. I have been thinking that a 2.0 8v engine from a mk4 GTi (115bhp) model will "drop straight in" but havent seen this done. If anyone knows if it has and how easy it is to do or of a better/simpler conversion any info would be appreciated.

Other bits and pieces would be golf GTi front and rear brakes, strut braces, wider arches, lowering and then some wider 15/16inch rims.

Im not aware of any modified Felicias in the UK and thats a shame because I think they are the most underated car in their class.

Regards,

Al

Hi, and welcome

Hello

You might be interested in some other renovation projects shown here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/project-journals/

Also, someone is reporting on here how they are rebuilding a Golf but I can't remember which forum it's in

There's also a General Car Chat forum and a Felicia forum :)

I cant afford a modern performance Skoda ...

Dont worry about that, neither can some people here who own a "modern performance Skoda"

It will make a nice change to see something different (your car)
