ABS light warning

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone can help me on a little problem.. after installing my sound system my abs light seem to lit up. thought it was a glitch as a drove it this morning but it was off again, it came back on again after 1hr. It lit up when i was steering at parking speeds (the power steering went a tiny bit heavier just after the abs light came on the second time, dont know if thats got anything to do with it). Any suggestions or answers would be greatful! Thanks :D

Reviving this thread a little as problem seems to be constant now, i believe the ABS became constantly on after i changed the springs on the car. I've read the other threads about replacing sensor modules etc etc.. meaning alot of money needed to solve problem.

Before i take it to the dealers and let them have all my xmas dosh i was wondering where is this abs sensor/wheel speed sensor located? least i could have a go at cleaning it and hope it solves it..

Thanks in advance.

if the light came on after the springs were fitted , one of the front sensors could have been damaged when the strut was knocked out of the knuckle/hub

dealer job or someone with VAGCOM to read the codes

mine was a faulty sensor in the wheel bearing which was repalced under warranty
