bloody cars

Featured Replies

driving to pick up swmbo today from work and i notice the car isn't pulling like it should, look down and notice its only making about 7psi instead of the usual 19 or so

i haven't got access to vag-com till later so can't check for fault codes but turning it off and on again or unplugging the boost controller and plugging it back in again isn't solving it like normal. bloody thing.

when driving if i put my foot down i can hear the turbo is making the boost but its leaking somewhere, no whether this is the wastegate/DV i can hear i can hear intentionally losing the pressure due to a fualt code i don't know but it never did this when the lower boost pipe(the one that goes from the metal downpipe of the turbo outlet to the flat pipe behind the offside front wheel). i have also replaced the old style pipe mentioned above with the new style pipe(

Well you will keep playing with it.

i've left it alone since fixing it!! thought as it decided to work perfectly i'd let it be mechanically and just drive it like a hire car for a bit :)
