No idea, but if we're going to try, we don't want to make a mess :D

I have one in my Superb, it's not an E-Bay jobbie but a Skoda one, dont know if they are that different but I dont think mine cost much more than that.

They are brilliant though, not only do they protect your boot carpet from spillages etc that are contained due to the raised lip around the edge, but they also stop things sliding around, the Skoda one has little raised 'domes' that everything seems to stick to so it stays where you put it!

I have a genuine one as well. Great job. These should be standard really.

I have a bootliners one that goes right up the sides, particularly useful if you have to carry around wetsuits etc that can get all yucky and sandy.

Yep we have one in each of our cars. work really well at keeping boot clean, also very easy to clean, use tyre foam on mine to bring up as new shine.

The only downside of a boot liner like that is that if you have to dig in under it (for a spare tire or tools or what not), you have to take it out. That again means emptying the whole boot.

Atleast the ones I've had in my cars have been so rigid that they can't be rolled or folded out of the way. But otherwise it's very recommendable!

Mine just folds back out of the way, it's flexible enough, it's the boot carpet thats rigid in the Superb so it makes no real difference, but then how often do you have to get the spare out.

IMO it's well worth having.

The proper Skoda one has holes for the tie down hooks to come through into the boot.

The ebay one looks like it doesnt, which might explain why its 25quid cheaper! and it wont have the Octavia logo moulded into it! (dont know why that should matter, its not as if anyone can admire it.........and why would anyone admire a boot mat?)
