Memory loss

Featured Replies

Just installed a JVC KD-G311. 50 watts per channel. The sound quality has improved tremendously:rofl: . The standard speakers are handling the increased power and does not sound like they are busted:D .

I have one problem. Each time I switch the ignition off or remove the face of the system, it loses all of the settings. thats is, bass, treble, loudness etc.

Is there anything that can be done apart from changing the head unit

Thanks

Braff

take it out and swap red and yellow over, these are the switched and permanent 12v feeds.

easy job.

..

we're not talking about the main loom for the car but instead the short loom that goes from the ISO plug to the HU plug, normally manufacturers don't iso on the actual unit to save space and use their own plug type so supply you with a short(about 6") bit of loom. its on this bit of loom that the yellow and red cables normally have bullet connectors in the middle so you can swap them over easily :)

this sort of thing, if it doesn't have bullet connectors then just cut the cables in the middle and fit some :)
