Hey guys and gals

Featured Replies

Hi, im Tom, 20, from Selby near York. Im a University student currently working for my third year to get some work experience and some money which enables me to buy and run my brilliant little Fabia. Its a 2000 'W' 1.4mpi Classic (65bhp) in white, completely standard, apart from AC, trip computer and aftermarket HU. I love it to bits, it survives my 120-mile a day round trip to work with aplomb, its cheap, perky, good chassis. I'm so glad i chose it over a 206, its a quality little car for me, so much so my mum bought one. Love the interior space, adjustabilty of the seats etc, well you all know the great points of this little car.

I am looking to make modifications to it, the classic didn't come with c/l, which isnt so bad in itself apart from the fact i have to go inside the car everytime i want to open the boot, unlike all you lucky VRS owners. So i was wondering if it was possible to add c/l now, im sure it is, and also could this be r/c/l so i could open the boot externally. Im sure you guys are the best people to ask. Im also looking to get some alloys for my furby, like the look of the fat spoked fast audi style alloys, maybe in a 15". Anyone know where to look for these? Also only being a 1.4 i'm not so interested in making suspension, brake, engine mods as they wouldnt make much difference. What sort of difference do simple things like K&N's make to the second to base engine?

Anyway enough of the questions, hope i can chat to some of you guys while i look forward to getting a VRS of my own at some point.

Cheers

Tom
