180bhp TDi

Featured Replies

Does anyone knowif there are any plans to put the new VW 180bhp TDi in to a Octavia.............. because I'm sick of my wife's Fabia VRS spanking the **** of my standard 1.9 TDi Octy II

Dont know about a 180bhp TDi but there is already a 170bhp vRS Octy.

It was launched last week ;)

I havent heard of a 180 bhp unit.

IIRC the 2.7TDI is 180BHP and that will never be seen in the Octaiva.

As for a 2 litre 180BHP unit from the factory.............never heard of it either.

As mentioned above, there is the 170unit and it's logical to assume the next one will be very close to 200bhp.

Not heard of a 180bhp engine either

But the 170bhp bad boy is out and is full of torque.

Wouldnt bet on it being a PD though.

Common rail for sure

Audi's new V12 lump is CR

The demise of the PD cometh...........

Fantastic engine

The 2.0TDi can easily go to 180bhp ;)

I am looking at getting my 2.0 TDi 8v 140 chipped to produce more power. You mention that it can easily go to 180 bhp, is this the 16V unit from the Octavia or the 8v Unit?

Also what does this do to things like the clutch and drive train? can they take the extra power without any life span issues?
