Doh

Well it kind of does........sort of.

when the speed limiter is up on the maxidot and you press the confirm button, the current speed is shown on the screen, if you do it quick enough you have real time speed on your maxidot. :D :P

That's as close as your gonna get!

You can get a digital true speed display from the Climatronic...

How far out are you finding the speedo ? I think I found about 4-5mph between 40 and 80, running 18's so dunno if that might affect it :)

Is Climatronic the thing on the Stream display?

Every VAG car I have had is as close to 4mph as I can tell at any speed. All of them have been running on 17's

2002 Golf GTI 1.8T

2003 Audi A4 1.9 TDi

2005 Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDi DSG

No, the 2 small LCD temperature setting indicators on the climate control can be used to display allsorts of other information like the actual road speed.

You need to press a certain combination of buttons to access it.

Personally, I use the speedo to see how fast I am going ;)

Do you need satnav to have the speed warning device?

My Mk1 on 16's was 10% out, 1 @ 10, [email protected]@60........measured with GPS as I didn't have Climate :)

When the speedo reads about 75 MPH, the TrueSpeed display and satnav say 70...
