Punto Grande

Featured Replies

Whats your opinion on these??

I have been reading about them on the net and they sound ok to me.

I ask because i have had to again spend money on the wifes 10yr old micra. Only a new back box and air filter also had the throttle body in bits but it seems ok again at the moment. I just need to keep it going til May next year then i will be getting her something new. Unless the Micra starts costing lots of cash before then, then we will have to bite the bullet a bit earlier so i have been looking at Fabia Estates on the net and then i came accross the Punto grande.

The 1.3 Multijet diesel is what i would be specifically going for i think.

What do you guys reckon?

I've been in one whilst stationary so can't comment on the driving experience but the interior was seriously poor - never seen trim gaps as large - I was scared of falling in

One good thing is the USB port in the dash that you can put a memoy stick filled with MP3s in and listen away...

The plastics were a bit cheap and the car was obviously built to a budget (SWMBOs Hyundai Getz has a better interior) - the new Colt is significantly better IMHO.

They look lovely on the outside , the interior didn't seem bad on the one I've sat in , but I'm not sure what it's like to drive/.

If you aren't planning on changing till next may there's a good change the MkII fabia will be out by then.

I think the MK2 fabia will be too much money for us i am affraid

Looking at around the 9-9.5k mark

Was thinking of a fabia estate

I think they look cool - like little Aston Martins :D

we got puntos in my works (europcar) they spend most of the time in the garge or being sent back the garge, most comon fault is that the door handles dont work you got to use the window dukes of hazzard style and the other fault is just stuff falling off inside and out.... they are terrible and the 1.2 's have no power what so ever 3 people + plus in the car... might as well walk it be faster, your best off getting something german :)

P.s while a remeber at 30mph onwards the road noise is so loud you might as well have no doors.

The front end styling reminds me of a Maserati Quatroporte

I think i mean the Gran Sport actually.

Echo comments on poor interior - gaps, bit cheap, and I found the seats quite uncomfortable , but maybe that's because i'm a fattie.

Besides, being a Fiat, it will look great, but more bits will fall off and rattle around. Shame really, as it's not a bad car, to look at anway.

Why not stick with the Japanese?

Honda Jazz's come in at that money, get a very very tidy year old example top of the range, Honda reliability, nice airy interiors, well screwed together. Don't know about servicing costs yet, but it's been a few weeks and haven't filled ours up yet......
