Hopefully a simple one this - what's the official length of rear wiper blade for the Octave Estate? Reason I ask - from Day 1 with my brand new car, rear wiper made a horrendous scraping noise. I live far from the dealer and as I've had to go back many times with problems with the car in its first year of life, have mentioned this from time to time for the dealer to look at, but not much joy (it's been low on the priority list of things to do compared to things like the seal on the 'petrol sender unit' breaking). So the other day I replaced the blade with a 13" Bosch one, and the silience is now golden but the blade does not clean at the top of the arc (windscreen curvature?). Is this basically as good as I can expect or have I put the wrong length of blade on?

I don't know what size wiper goes on the estate but I do know that the standard fit ones are a bit ****e. Get yourself down to Halfords and get a correctly sized Bosch one. They have handbooks to tell you the sizes.

The original wiper rubber on my 2002 Estate is 13

Mine used to miss on the top of its sweep as well. Just had to live with it I,m afraid as the glass has too much curve.
