Under-seat box to match passenger one?

Featured Replies

Under the front passenger seat of my 2.0 TDI Ambience there's a little storage box with a flip-down front that's handy for keeping the First Aid box in. Under the driver seat there's just an empty(ish) space :)

Does anyone know whether I can buy a second box to go under the driver seat, and if so whether it's a reasonable DIY job or involves lifting and shifting the entire seat?

Cheers.

I could be wrong but isnt the access to the ecu under the drivers seat?

The storage box for the right hand side of a LHD car is 1Z0 881 578 E 47H in Oynx or 1Z0 881 578 E 4K1 in Ivory and costs around £12 Plus VAT.

That seems to include all of the fixings.

I only noticed I had one under the passenger seat when I was trying to find a way to run the GPS Cable for the MFD2.

The ECU connection on my car seems to be a purple connection just under the steering wheel opposite the bonnet release.

Thats the diagnostic port where you would connect VAG-COM

Those under seat bins would be excellent if they were A4 but theres not enough space for that :thumbdwn:

I did this mod today. perfect fit, small job.(Unless you have really big hands and fingers like me) I did NOT remove the seat, i just jacked it all the way up.

Ilive in Norway and have a LHD car.

Box under left seat: 1Z0 881 577 E 47H in Oynx and 1Z0 881 577 E 4K1 in Ivory

Box under right seat: 1Z0 881 578 E 47H in Oynx and 1Z0 881 578 E 4K1 in Ivory

The box came without fasteningscrews, but I only used the two screws from the piece I removed and then I used two screws I had lying around + two clips like you use to mount loudspeakers with.

My car: 2007 Octavia II Elegance 4X4 1,9 TDI Anthracit grey

Super idea these under-seat storage boxes, shame they don't do them for Mk 1 Octavia coz if they did I'd fit a pair to mine. They don't do them to fit Mk 1 's do they?

Regards Loopy

I thought late (arround 2004) mk1 L&K had them.

Does anybody know if I can fit them on electrical seats. I have no box under any of front seats.
