Strange computer/range thing!

Featured Replies

If I scroll up through the computer displays and get to the Tank Range, it displays 5miles different to what it shows if I scroll down!!

Also shows 1mpg different for the average if I do the same.

Anyone else??

Perhaps you travel 5 miles in the time it takes to scroll through them ? ;):D

Tehehe

:D Shouldnt you be looking at the road?...:P

Hands up then, who's checked this morning? I get 5 miles extra depending on which way I scroll through.

are you nuts?

are you nuts?

some people need to get out more you should be looking for white van man  not the fuel trip computer

Richard

Im going to have a drive later to see if its true. :D

Ive never noticed that on mine. I'll have a look tho , in the interests of science!

I checked mine and its the same either way. Think you have a pessimistic button...

Tried mine on the way home from work tonight and both average MPG & Miles till empty readings show the same results whether flicking up or down.

You have a unique Furby. :) It's probably female and can't make it's mind up. :D

Cheers

Dave.

Its because youre going down hill ;)

Tried this on the way home and mine does it too! 40 miles range one way and 45 the other. Low fuel light on if that makes any difference.

Didn't check/notice the average mpg (other than it was 60+ :D) will have a look in the morning.

You know what........I think they are pulling our legs slightly here.

Tried it on the way to work yesterday.Range scrolling down 360, scrolling up 365 Tried it again on way home, both same, strange........

 Cant believe I tried it but, no. It didnt work for me. :( Really wanted to be in the "5 mile+ crew"

I tried it this morning myself...110 miles range one-way, 105 miles range the other way! I'll still with the 110 miles range which will give me 650 miles from this tank. (I'm glass half full type of person.)

That is one odd computer bug!

I think it's because the computer always rounds up or down to the nearest 5 miles. If it's actually sitting on the limit of where it decides to round up or down then it'll do strange things like that..... But then again it could just be some sort of software bug....who knows????

Seems to be random, coz it has also given the same reading whatver way you scroll, and happens more with higher ranges.

Not a major issue, just an observation.

Mine doesn't do it!

SWMBOs does, but only sometimes. I think, as mentioned above, that it must be when the computer is sitting on the limit between 2 values and it just depends on how you catch it when you are looking.
