Heater sticking on !

Featured Replies

Anybody know what causes the heater to stick on with a Fabia diesel 2002, is it the stepper motor on the matrix ?

dunno but i have the same sometimes on my 03 fabia rs and putting the aircon on cold somehow solves it, till the next time anyway

it's that little flappy thing in the fresh air duct i think??

It happened once when it was under warrenty and I thought they changed something under the dashboard, when it happened then as a temporary fix if you switch off the engine and waited a minute and then resarted the car it would clear the fault so it sounds as though something is possibly sticking. :)

I think Lummox usually advises resetting the flap motors and then if that doesn't solve it they may need replacing.....

:) Do you reset the flaps with vag-com or is it a strip down/cleaning job, I suppose its under the dashboard hopefully with easy access ?
