Computer benchmarking software / 3D mark 06 scores

Featured Replies

Ive finished building a new pc

Just want to benchmark the think now to see how fast it really is

I used the free version of 3D mark 06 and got a total score of : 9075

on a stock system with no overclocking

(might have to play with that next)

Is there anything else worth running?

Just need to know how good a score of 9075 is

Anyone got a score to compare to ?

Prefbly nothing that’s going to make me feel like my new PC is a nail again though

I was about to download 3DMark06 and give it a try until I noticed that the download file size was 500+Mb! Is it really that big?

IIRC yes its that big, but with your fast broadband shouldnt take very long to download.

Beats me I think, but I will reinstall 3DMark06 and see what I get (am considering buying a new graphics card so I'll be pouring over benchmarks for a while anyway :D )

Don't think I'll bother as I fail to meet the minimum requirements.:o

My Medion MD8383XL - Pentium 4 HT 3.4Ghz, NVidia 6610XL graphics card (some OEM Medion thing) - bought about 2 years ago and still as stock with no overclocking or anything gets 2357 in 3D Mark 05, 6597 in 3D Mark 03 and 15320 in 3D Mark 01.

I'm just downloading it now, have been meaning to run it on my main system for a while actually. I'll post my score when I've run it.

Download will take just over an hour to finish, according to Firefox. Not too bad...

Steve

I have just found 3DMark06 on the free CD included with the October 2006 issue of PCPro magazine. :D
