Hello from a roomster owner

Featured Replies

Hello All

I picked up my new Roomster 3,1.9TDI on the 14th October 2006 from Pillings of Milton Keynes and have found it a great car.I ordered it on the 18th August 2006 trading in my Fiat Doblo Elx 1.9 tdi. the two cars are like chalk and cheese.

The roomster is made to last and the drive is very good, smooth and very little noise into the car from road or engine. And the car looks great in black with roof bars and mud flaps. Will post reports on site after first 5000 and see what I think then. (I dont think I will be un happy with this well made car).

1st car i've had done with the supagard...mainly due to the cream interior. Will let you know if it helps. (No kids, but we do have a dog, who travels in a cage in the rear). We looked at the 2 with a dark interior + the extras's to take it to the same spec as this 3, but that made it way overpriced.

Hope these exterior shots are ok for now?...will do some interior pics soon. (If there is anything specific you want to see, just let me know & will add them)

Hello,

I liked the look of the car from the first time we saw itand have owned Skoda before and I learnt to drive in a Skoda 1000MB way back in 1968.We think the car is just the job for us.Me and wife and dog who we transport in cage in the boot.We have come back to Skoda in a big way as the wife picked up a new Fabia Vrs the same day that I picked up the Roomster. So we have the best of both worlds (comfort) and (speed)

Welcome

Had a test drive in a fully loaded 3.Far quicker than I expected and a nice drive and cabin.

Enjoy! (get a good deal BTW?)

Ah welcome to the forums.... think (possibly) i can safely say your our first roomster owner.

Now ur going to find alot of bickering about this car from many people here....... alot of people don't like it. I didnt like it in pics but now i've seen it in flesh really like it.

Be sure to post up some piccys

I'd agree; it's better in the metal than in photos. I'd not buy one new, but that's cos I just don't need that sort of volume.

Cool.

I'm not convinced by the light coloured trim round the rear lights (on a dark car at least) but the rest of it looks very nice indeed.

I wouldn't mind a set of those Alloys for my octavia as well :D

The one I saw in the dealer's was silver, and those light trims really don't notice against the silver.

Agree about it looking good in the flesh. Very surprised you got an L3 tho with a dog cage or not, especially as it only has the light coloured interior.

I can see the niche market they have gone for, and the 1.9TDi in the L3 is just about right for the car.( Shame about the cream interior )

The 2 dealers I have spoken to have mentioned the same thing - Light coloured interior on this particular stlye of car is a BIG mistake, and many people have said that they would not have an L3, unlesss there was an optional darker interior.

Welcome to the first Roomster owner on Briskoda.

Looks lovely in black.

Like the number plate.

Will the aero wiper fit a Fabia??

sorry but i didn't like it in the pictures or the flesh but in balck with tinted windows so you can't see the complete miss match of window lines it probably isn't that bad. maybe.

oh and welcome by the way.

Have to agree with bengie, black was a good choice

I'm sure it's a really practical and great car, but... I don't want to hear any more jokes about my Favorit's styling, especially from Roomster owners!! Jees... And I thought the original Fiat Multipla was wierd!! I just don't get the people styling these things at all, I'm sure they must been smoking something wacky whilst designing these, or maybe the front half is actually designed by a team at the other end of the planet to the team working on the rear, and they're not allowed to see each others work ROFLMAO!!!

Sorry, only kidding, what do I know anyway, I think Favorits look cool!!!
