As i have Sat Nav in the car would the trim be a direct replacement?

You might find someone with a lesser spec superb who likes the wood and who'd be prepared to swap trim with you.

You can indeed replace these trim pieces as have I in my motor!!

The dealer will ofcourse sell you these parts, at a price but I agree that anything looks better than the wood!!

The whole centre section around the Sat Nav is replaced as one unit and comes off easily buy removing the ashtray and gently pulling the trim forward from this area.

how much did it cost you, baker21? fancy the piano black stuff in mine...

Another idea is to go to a scrapyard and find a comfort/classic and nab the trim out of that rather than pay dealer prices.

It depends which piece you require mate and I have no doubt that the prices for the piano black would be more expensive.

I can give you some part numbers to check out with the dealer if your interested?

Honestly can't remember how much I paid as it was one of the first mods I did.

landwomble - I am currently waiting for a price from a dealer for the piano black trim so will post when I get it.

I don't mind the wood trim anyway but for £514.34 I would start to love the wood trim

Got 5 bids in from breakers, good price and they were rated by customer feedback on seller. Good price and despatched next day making me me happy customer. Can't recall if it was this mob but worth checking out. Just cuts out the leg work.

You will certainly struggle to find a smashed up Superb in the breakers yard that's for sure, not enough of them on the road!!

I have the part numbers at home but I can't remember the prices, I will post some details up tonight.

Not sure if it's of any use but there is a 52 plate superb being broken on ebay at the moment.

This motor has been on Ebay a few times, shame there isn't anything on there I need!! More to the point it's a shame that it isn't an Edition 100 or an Elegance spec!!

The trim in that car is the same as the one I bought though for mine!!

The other option is to invest in a set of these:

You can buy a complete set of piano black trim (and other garish colous) from ebay's german site (eBay Deutschland – Der weltweite Online-Marktplatz) for about 50 euros. Its basically stick on over the top of existing trim stuff, but it can look okay if applied properly. I just did a search on the site for skoda superb and went to the styling section.
