Renault Alpine Gta

Featured Replies

Does anyone own/have owned one of these cars? What are they like?

3.0 litre V6 , in the back iirc , its a Renault , so expect the usual electric /trim faults , there weren't many about either , i seem to remember top gear road testing one many years ago

I know of one for sale if you are interested!

later A610's are nice and a bit more modern looking. If your budget allows and you can find one,how about the ultra rare GTA Le Mans with wide arches (i think only 25 were RHD )

Compared fairly favourably in tests to the 911

Wouldnt these be a bit of a money pit now they are a few years old? JMHO...

There were plenty of very nice looking ones at the RenaultSport day at Donington this year - they seem to have been looked after by most of their owners.

It shouldn't be that hard to find a good one.

yeah the A610's are better, but a cracking car anyway (if you can get one that works) I used to know someone with one of these (the alpine) and it was awsome... very very hard ride, hugely expensive rear tyres and fuel/ins/parts bills, but bloody hell it was fast!!!! looked great too

Couple on T'bay at the moment

Im not looking, just dreaming. I prefer the gta turbo looks than the A610.

Are they fibreglass?

The Le Mans alpine looks awesome but there less powerful than the gta turbo as it has a cat converter fitted.

Yep - fibreglass. One thing to watch out for is headlight glass damage on the earlier (non A610) models - they're bonded in and it's £600 to replace them I think.
